Key GST concepts
Before exploring the features, here is a quick reference to the GST terms you will encounter throughout Aczen Bilz.GSTIN
GSTIN
Your Goods and Services Tax Identification Number — the 15-digit registration number issued by the GST Council. Aczen Bilz uses your GSTIN to validate supplier GSTINs on purchase bills and populate your filings correctly.
HSN and SAC codes
HSN and SAC codes
Harmonised System of Nomenclature (HSN) codes classify goods; Service Accounting Codes (SAC) classify services. You assign these codes to your products and services in Aczen Bilz, and they appear on every invoice and GST return automatically.
Tax rates
Tax rates
GST applies at five standard rates: 0%, 5%, 12%, 18%, and 28%. The correct rate is determined by the HSN/SAC code you assign to each item.
CGST, SGST, and IGST
CGST, SGST, and IGST
- CGST (Central GST) and SGST (State GST) apply on intra-state transactions — the total GST is split equally between the central and state governments.
- IGST (Integrated GST) applies on inter-state transactions and exports — the full tax goes to the central government and is later apportioned to the destination state. Aczen Bilz determines which tax type applies based on the buyer’s and seller’s states.
Input Tax Credit (ITC)
Input Tax Credit (ITC)
ITC is the GST you have already paid on purchases. You can offset it against your output GST liability. Aczen Bilz tracks ITC automatically from every purchase bill you record and flags any credits that may not be claimable.
What Aczen Bilz does for you
Automatic GST calculation
When you create an invoice, Aczen Bilz calculates CGST/SGST or IGST in real time based on the HSN/SAC code, tax rate, and the buyer’s state. You never need to calculate tax manually.
ITC tracking
Every purchase bill you record is added to your ITC ledger. Aczen Bilz separates ITC-eligible and ITC-ineligible purchases and shows you the net GST payable at a glance: Output GST − Input GST = Net Payable.
GSTR-1 preparation
Aczen Bilz compiles your outward supply details — invoice number, customer GSTIN, taxable value, IGST, CGST, SGST, and CESS — into GSTR-1 format and lets you export a CSV for upload to the GST portal.
GSTR-3B preparation
The GSTR-3B summary is auto-populated from your invoices and purchase bills, including outward supplies, ITC claims, reverse charge amounts, and exempt/nil-rated supplies. Export as JSON or Excel for filing.
ITC mismatch detection
Aczen Bilz compares your purchase records (GSTR-2A) against the auto-drafted ITC statement (GSTR-2B) and highlights discrepancies so you can resolve them before filing.
GST liability dashboard
View your total output liability, eligible ITC, and net GST payable for any period. Use the period comparison tool to spot trends and the tax payment planner to avoid last-minute cash flow stress.
Penalty calculator
If a filing is delayed, the penalty calculator estimates the interest and late fee owed so you can account for it accurately when making payment.
Credit note reversal
When you issue a credit note, Aczen Bilz reverses the associated output GST and adjusts your ITC summary so your GSTR-3B stays accurate.
How Aczen Bilz keeps you compliant
Aczen Bilz applies compliance checks continuously, not just at filing time:- Invoice validation — each invoice is checked for a valid GSTIN (if the buyer is GST-registered), a valid HSN/SAC code, and the correct tax split before it is saved.
- Real-time ITC eligibility — purchase bills are immediately assessed for ITC eligibility. Bills from suppliers without a GSTIN are marked as ineligible so they do not inflate your credit claims.
- Mismatch alerts — if a supplier’s filed GSTR-1 does not match your purchase records, Aczen Bilz flags the discrepancy in the ITC Match centre before you file.
- Filing calendar — upcoming GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B due dates appear in the GST compliance calendar so you always know what is due and when.
GST rates and rules change periodically. Aczen Bilz updates its rate tables when the GST Council notifies changes, but you should verify that HSN/SAC codes assigned to your products reflect the latest classification.
