# Invoice Intelligence: AI insights for your billing

> Invoice Intelligence surfaces payment risks, customer behavior scores, collection priorities, and revenue trends from your billing data — all in Aczen Bilz.

Invoice Intelligence goes beyond a basic invoice list. It brings together nine analytical views that help you understand the health of your receivables, identify customers who consistently pay late, prioritize your collection efforts, and spot revenue patterns before they become problems. Rather than exporting data to a spreadsheet and building your own reports, you get purpose-built analysis directly inside Aczen Bilz.

## Accessing Invoice Intelligence

Navigate to **Invoices → Invoice Intelligence** from the main sidebar. The page opens on the Register tab, which gives you a master view of all your invoices in one place.

## What Invoice Intelligence shows you

Invoice Intelligence is organized into nine tabs. Each focuses on a different dimension of your billing data.

## Acting on Invoice Intelligence insights

<Steps>
  <Step title="Check the Risk tab first">
    Start with the **Risk** tab to see which open invoices have a high overdue risk score. These are invoices where historical data suggests the customer may not pay on time. Follow up with these customers before the due date, not after.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Use Collection Priority to sequence your outreach">
    Switch to the **Collection Priority** tab to get a ranked list of invoices to chase. Work through the list in order — the highest-priority items combine large amounts with elevated risk and long aging.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Review Credit Exposure by customer">
    Open the **Credit Exposure** tab to see how much outstanding credit is concentrated with any single customer. If one customer accounts for a disproportionate share of your receivables, consider tightening payment terms on new work.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Adjust payment terms based on Behavior Scores">
    Customers with low **Behavior Scores** consistently pay late or partially. Use this insight when deciding whether to offer credit terms, request advance payment, or require shorter due dates on future invoices.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Set up reminders for at-risk invoices">
    In the **Reminders** tab, configure automatic follow-up messages for invoices approaching their due date. You can tailor reminder timing to match each customer's typical payment lead time.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Key metrics to watch

<Note>
  The insights in Invoice Intelligence update automatically as you create invoices, record payments, and add customers. There is no manual refresh step required.
</Note>

* **Average days to payment by customer** — found in the Lifecycle tab. Customers significantly above your average deserve closer attention when you issue new invoices.
* **Overdue risk score** — a higher score means the AI has detected patterns that correlate with late payment. Scores above the high-risk threshold are flagged in red.
* **Top customers by revenue** — visible in the Register and Credit Exposure tabs. Knowing your top five customers by invoiced amount helps you prioritize relationship management.
* **Invoice volume trends** — the Funnel tab shows whether your billing activity is growing, flat, or declining month over month.
